New for October, the journey of Brave + Hollow takes them to Dedheim, the lonely Golden Bat monster, a survivor dressed for the ritual hunt reenactment, and a painters scale thief of golden treasures. Necromancer and Necromancer Boss appear in timely remastered editions. Even the Apotheosis arrives for the occasion.

Tis a gala night indeed, Kingdom Death's costumed best return for Halloween as well. Iconic Kingdom Death characters in their Halloween ensembles, survivors trick or treating in their costumes, seasonal dice, and more!

For this week’s community spotlight we’d like to give some shine to the winners of the Lantern’s Reign Discord’s latest painting contest, as well as a few other submissions from the contest that caught our eye. Thanks to all on the Lantern's Reign discord server who participated, especially those who organized. You are awesome! The contest was split into three categories based on painting experience: beginner, intermediate, and master (though we spied some masterful entries in all categories). 

We had to shoutout this Erza of Dedheim for spooky season. Under orders from Grozharous the Pale Turnip King, Erza guards the black gates, preventing the dead residents of Dedheim from spilling out into the world of the living. Gh0st-1492’s Erza has elegant coloring from her steely blonde hair to sleek black boots and gloves. The head of the scythe’s illuminated jacko’lantern style face is perfect for scary season. 

Might Be Monster’s Brave took home claimed the title for the intermediate category. Making his debut in the Killenium Butcher Vignette, Brave is the unfaltering idealist with the Heart of a Hero. We love how the artists plays with shadows and textures especially on our hero’s cobbled armor and unwavering bravesword. Truly a paint job worthy of any protagonist. 

In first place in the beginner category is Sundog’s Imitation Butcher paint. The Imitation Butcher armor is a powerful seed pattern from the Gambler’s Chest Expansion that can be crafted with a healthy dose of skill, luck, and pure rage. The painter ’s brilliance is displayed on the entire model but we especially love how they utilize the gleaming lantern light effect on the scalpseeking survivor’s underside and rear. 

Codenamezero0000's Xell took first prize in the master’s category. Xell is an indomitable survivor who wears and wields the prizes of her contests, specifically the head and bones of the indomitable Antelope who for many lantern years stalked the darkness unchallenged. Impeccably recreating the color scheme on Lokman Lam’s original art, with clear mastery of detail (hair, skin, eyes) we see why the judges deemed this paint the master of masters.
