Our community spotlight this month highlights two masterful monster paints in the King and Dung Beetle Knight with Dung Ball. Additionally, for those wishing to refine their paint skills or play skills we have two video content creators who do an entertaining job breaking down both. 

HShamster took the time to paint and share their Awaited One. This paint presents a masterclass in precision and coloring, particularly skin tone. The flesh on the infants stand out from the red robes in which they dwell. Look how the infants gaze at one another with wide eyed bewilderment. A transcendent paint. 

Playing Board Games Plays a Board Game with Fen

We’ve loved watching Playing Board Games’ ongoing core game campaign with Fen! In their first session, our heroes nearly achieved a full turn one take down of the prologue White Lion before the beast made a near dead cat bounce come back. New life was marked in their settlement’s first lantern year with twins! Dive into their full campaign to see their trials and triumphs. Refining your skills sometimes requires watching said skill performed by the best. Nikkikolls’ streamed paint sessions are a great learning tool in addition to being entertaining. Here she takes us through a strong start to the Golden Bat. The Golden Bat hears its treasure trove of gold and makes music from the sound that emanates from the precious metal. The paint itself is looking like quite the trophy, we’re looking forward to watching this bat earn its wings. 

We couldn’t let you go without showing off Abyssalartworks Dung Beetle and Dung Ball. The painter pleases the eye with excellent contrast between the armor and the ball. They even provide some more earthy texture in the form of a custom base to further frame the DBK’s iridescence armor. We can also appreciate a slick adobe edit with this black background.
